Q678 turns north at LaGrange, Ga. or Montgomery, Al. depending on crew availability or if they have a Montgomery set out in the train, this particular Q678 ran to Montgomery then north from Montgomery to Atlanta, but here the Q678 is technically running southbound, they used to run on the SAL from Birmingham, Al. to Atlanta, Ga. an east/west route but that line was abandoned in the 90s & made into a bike & walking trail

Description:  CSXT Southbound Freight Train Q647 ( Chicago, Illinois to Waycross, Ga. ) rumbles through Birmingham, Al. with a pair of CEFX SD40M-2s leading a CSXT SD50-2 & a CSXT SD40-3, this one brings back memories of the early to mid 2000s when CSXT had lots of these type units leased & were quite common as many were rebuilt like new, but now just like any other rent a wreck all worn out & junk, but certainly happy to catch them, even working on them as long as they run properly

Description:  CSXT Southbound Vehicle Train Q235 ( Louisville, Ky. to Tampa, Fl. ) rumbles through Oxmoor, Al. with a CEFX SD40M-2 leading a CSXT former Conrail C40-8. Lease power seems to have made a come back on CSXT due to power shortages but with the acquisition of new ES44ACs this lease power will not last much longer at least on CSXT anyway, the lease power could be sent back into storage or leased to other railroads
