According to the Baldwin records, the loco was finally sold for scrap to M.S. Kaplan on 8/7/1953 so it sat for nearly 6 years in the scrap line. Original specs - 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 348,400 lb, and tractive effort of 63,000 lb. |
