Description: |
This Prairie type steamer has a long history of excursion operation, starting with Pennsylvania's Wanamaker Kempton & Southern Railroad in the 1960s. Migrating north after some repairs at the Strasburg Railroad in the 1970s, it ran for the Wolfeboro Railroad of New Hampshire until that operation shut down in the mid 1980s. It then was displayed at the Hobo Railroad a few miles north of Wolfeboro until it was sold to the Edaville Railroad where it has been displayed near the railroad yard ever since. The tender has been lettered one the fireman's side for the Boston & Maine and for Edaville USA on the engineer's side. The real heritage is the Bonhomie & Hattiesburg Southern in Mississippi. |
