Title:
SLSF 2-8-2 #4030 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Description:
Here is another of a group of 1919 Lima built "light-Mikados" that the USRA had originally assigned to PRR but PRR rejected 35 of them before they entered their roster and subsequently the USRA re-assigned them to Frisco. They all had 63" drivers, developed 200 psi boiler pressure for their 26"x30" cylinders, had an engine weight of 292,000 lb, and could apply a tractive effort of 54,725 lb. All were scrapped between 1948-56. Date is approximate - unknown location and photographer.
