Description:  Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Kenneth, Indiana, in September of 1963. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5861 and two more "EP" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #5861 was constructed in February of 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. In this context, this A-B-A set is rockin' 'n' rollin' with a seven-car passenger train. Description:  Sunday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 02 May 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6309, #5861, #5860-B, and #5838. #6309 is an AF-27 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,750 horsepower; it is the "helper" engine in this context. #5861 and #5860-B are EP-20's built by EMD in 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5838 is an EP-22 built by EMD in 1951 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are pulling a 13-car passenger train up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Pittsburgh and points West. This photo taken from the steps of SLOPE Tower.
