Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9919, an AS-10AM road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company as number "5619" in June of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "9919" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-33). |
