Interesting rebuild done by the Great Northern Shops from an E-14 class 4-6-0 built by Baldwin in 1909. The rebuilt locos retained the long, evenly spaced drivers which gave it a distinctive look from newer Pacifics. .Unfortunately, #1351 was wrecked on July 24, 1941 which ended its career. Specs - class H-5-S, oil burner, 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 282,800 lb, tractive effort of 40,511 lb. Unknown photographer. |
