George Redmond General Very Nice Shot. 7/15/2008 9:48:08 PM
Dan Glidden General Was this locomotive still in regular service at that time? My guess is yes. 7/15/2008 9:59:00 PM
Jenny Vaughn General Awesome! 7/18/2008 10:46:00 PM
Zachary DeVore General Great historic view of Roanoke - too bad that Railroad Express building and that locomotive have both vanished (think from this location there is no longer a crossing here having a bridge instead but its been a couple of years since I was last down there). The N&W headquarters buildings are still there and still looking good even if now they are an educational center 7/19/2008 11:13:32 AM
Jim Gavin General I mean nice shot Ed. 7/19/2008 9:05:08 PM
Gregg Bartley General I was watching one of those shows on the History Channel or something about steam railroading. They called this locomotive designed and built by N&W themselves as THE best passenger steam locomotive ever made. Don't know what criteria they were using, but it was a very strong statement on this show's part. Before I saw that, I didn't realize that N&W deisgned their own locomotives. 7/21/2008 5:08:01 PM
Randy Kotuby General A classic rail scene. Too bad I couldn't experience it for myself but thats for the next best thing. 7/23/2008 9:49:56 PM
