YVRR 202  Contributor's Pick!
The Yadkin Valley railroad received red and white geeps in the early 90's. I would assume the ex-N&W GP9's were from NS when this line started, as I don't see the original owners of this shortline being able to afford a large quantity of new ones. Gulf & Ohio assumed control in 1995, and phased out the red and white scheme (although, a few of these in red and white have continued to serve shortlines even today).

Thomas Rousseau General This is actually a chop-nose ex C&O unit. It started it's life as C&O 5818, builder's #17039, frame #5172-7. It was built in 10/52, sold to YVRR, renumbered 202 and then on to MSDR 202 for the G&O Railways. 1/1/2012 8:53:24 AM
