Northbound Amtrak Texas Eagle Train #22 With My Favorite Amtrak Unit...And a Short Story  Contributor's Pick!
This is the northbound, the crew always waved big at me and honked at me here, it made up a little bit of time and we were late getting into town, I have the first know photo of this unit since it got it's Bolt-O-Nose nose job at Boise and new paint after rebuilding, this was my first bolt-o-nose unit. The train arrived into Poplar Bluff at 7:08 A.M., 3 hours and 59 minutes late. READ THE COMMENT I LEFT BELOW!!!

Zach Pumphery General 157 is my favorite Amtrak unit, I saw it in Galesburg, IL in 2003, here in 2003, from my house in 2004 on a detoured train due to a derailment on the De Soto Sub. on May 8th, departing Chicago on the Southwest Chief last year, and today. Dad , this unit are I guess you could say..."close". We decided to chase the train! Dad and I watched the southbound, ate at Steak 'N Shake around 2 A.M., got to bed around 3:15, got to sleep about 3:30, woke up at 6:23 and came over to catch this train. They decided to use my photo on www.4rr.com : http://www.4rr.com/G15/157_001.htm . 7/28/2005 7:00:37 PM
