CNW 1385 looks like a ghostly shipwreck from the window of our train
17 years ago, I rode these same tracks, behind the NorthWestern ten-wheeler.

That sad site is no more. 1385 is on the path the running again. The tender has been rebuilt, the locomotive frame has been overhauled and repaired, new boiler and firebox were built and installed on the frame.

I've been trying to get on this site to post new pictures showing the progress of 1385 but it would appear I'm never going to get approved and if I do it will be after 1385 is restored completely. If you want to see how it looks go the Mic-Continent's site.
