| PRR E7 5849 at about 47th Street in Chicago, Illinois on May 9, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The E7 was built August 30, 1947 (c/n 3985) on EMD Order E745, became PRR 4209 and later PC 4209. Based on my fading memory, this is between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, so this could be either Train #48, The General, due out of Union Station at 4:15 PM, or it might be Train #28, The Broadway Limited, due out at 5:00 PM. |
