| Apparently on its way back to LaGrange on a trade-in, this retired Western Maryland GP9 is still wearing its "circus" paint scheme of red and white minus the lettering. History - EMD,2/1955 serial #20355, nee-WM 29, The tall nose was chopped down in October of 1964, renumbered in 1976 as the Chessie roster as WM #6404. The loco was traded into EMD in 1985. This appears to be a photo after the trade-in as it sat in an Akron, OH, during its travel back to Illinois. No exact date was given nor any photographer's name. |
