| We were counting on the locomotive to shove to Steubenville then pull north to Angola to be staged for the runs the following day. However, we were not quite that lucky, as they were just moving the locomotive to Brightmark to fill the tender with water. We went down that direction, and while we were grabbing some shots, we heard "NKP 358 departing Pleasant Lake eastbound". We swore our afternoon on the INER couldnt get better, but it just continued to! We moved to Steubenville, and sure enough, the SD9 was rounding the bend at Steubenville and would pull west to Ashley. We hunkered down on the west side of town and watched the solo locomotive pass the codeline bound for Ashley/Hudson. |
