| UP 844 and UP 2010 bring the Shiloh Limited down the UP Jonesboro Sub. at CP CB055 North Malden, headed towards Marion, AR. The special ran as UP Train SSLWM 28 today, and the UP 844 is in charge of 19 Cars, including the flat car on the rear loaded with 8 Civil War Cannons for the 150th Anniversary Battle Reenactment at Shiloh, TN. I lived in Malden for 2 years and have been waiting to shoot a steam engine here for a while. This is the first 4-8-4 through here since SSW 819 came through in 1990. The elevator in the distance is Bernie, MO, and the water towers barely visible on the horizon are in Dexter, MO, 16 miles north of here, and all straight track. |
