BCQ 1005
Delivered to Pennsylvania as PRR 7253 in November 1959, this unit would become PC 7253, then enter Conrail as CR 7253. Conrail sent this unit to Illinois Central returning as CR 7590 rebuilt GP10 equipped with Pace Setter Hump Controls and able to be mother units to MT-4 slugs but retained the as delivered high hood. After retirement by Conrail, National Railway Equipment picked up this Geep, chopped the nose, repainted, and renumbered the unit, becoming NREX 1005 GP10 operating in lease service until joining the Kiamichi roster as KRR 1005. After retirement by KRR this old Geep crossed the border to Texas and now works for Bolton's Wheat Express as BCQ 1005 "Mattie Ruth". BCQ is not an AAR recognized reporting mark but this Geep does not see interchange service.
