No day on the railroad ever goes as planned. Case in point: UP Train IDULB 19 on the left on Main Track 1 is stopped due to a train near West Yard seeing a smoking wheel. Upon inspection, it was determined that one brake of the Neff Yard pickup wasn't released by the inbound crew, and was dragged across Kansas City for 10 miles before the train moved quick enough to get it smoking. While the conductor and a couple managers check things out before bringing the trainman back to the engines, UP Train MDMWT 19 sneaks past on Main Track 2. Above the trains are the eastbound control signals at CP Z008 on what has to be the crookedest signal bridge I've ever seen. |
