What is that car in the center? I saw it in the consist of a westbound BNSF freight on National Train Day 2013.

Aaron Barthel	General	Its called a side dump. Railrods use them for hauling stuff like rip-rap and ballast. Depending on the type, it is either dumped by large air powered cylinders or smaller hydraulic cylinders.	5/31/2013 8:23:17 PM
