Car is ex-CN Sleeper-Lounge #1089. Assigned Amtk # 800055, CN name was "Cape Tormentine", not "Cap". See also 1984 photo http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1258841

1 of 8 such cars built in Lot #6928 to Plan #4189A as a 2 compartment-2 double bedroom sleeper 29 seat buffet lounge, seats reduced in 1965 to 25 (Plan #4189H), later VIA #1089 before being sold to private ownership. The CAPE TORMENTINE was later painted back into CN colors, sold to the Kentucky RY Museum (remaining at Parrish), and was resold in 2013 to Gary Southgate in Battleford, Saskatchewan, who has plans to establish a new railroad museum in that Canadian province.
