| Monon's homebrew attempt at an extended vision caboose resulted in a bay window grafted onto the side of the cupola. This is one of eight such cars built in the Monon's Lafayette (IN) shops during 1956-57. Remarkably, six of the eight have been preserved including this car, now at the Indiana Transportation Museum in Noblesville, IN. Date of photo approximate. |
