SP 4-6-2 #2425 - Southern Pacific  Contributor's Pick!       
An unknown photographer captured the 1907 Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) built 4-6-2 Pacific as it turns on the West Oakland Yard turntable. Note the crew posing in the cab as well as the unusually tall 77" drivers. Specs - class P-1, 77" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine weight of 222,000 lb, tractive effort of 29,920 lb. No date was listed so an approximate date was used based on the photo paper type.
