Good Day. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1960. Shown here are two PRR trains, both of which are moving West toward the Bedford Street Crossing. The train in the foreground has locomotives both front and rear, and is headed up the New Portage Branch Line to Gallitzin and points West. The train in the background is headed (R to L) by PRR engines #5597 and #5595. Both are BS-7M's built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1950 and rated at 750 horsepower each; they are pulling the daily "Cumberland Local" to Altoona. This photo was taken at the Juniata River Railroad Bridge, near Bedford Street and the Passenger Station. #10 of 12. |
