PRR 2302, EF-25, 1965
Rainy. Here is an original telephoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2302, #2547, #2529, and #2324. All are rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2302 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1964. #2547 and #2529 are GF-25's built by General Electric; #2547 was built in 1965, but #2529 was built in 1964. #2324 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1965. They are pulling a 117-car eastbound merchandise freight train to Enola and points East. The caboose is N-8 #478073.
