| Built by Alco-Schenectady in October of 1916, this 4-6-2 Pacific was caught by an unknown photographer standing in the yard in Marshfield, WI, on an unidentified date. Originally it carried the number 1614 but after being rebuilt in July of 1943 to a class E-S, it was renumbered to 614 in 1952. The last time it ran was on 5/22/1956 when a diesel broke down and needed help. Final disposition unknown. Original specs - serial #56233, nee-#1614, E class, 75" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine weight of 260,000 lb, tractive effort of 36,692 lb. |
