| Alabama Export Railroad (ALE) is a subsidiary of Mississippi Export Railroad (MSE). The ALE owns only two locomotives, EMD GP38-2 #3863 and EMD GP38-2 #3859. Both of these locomotives are ex HLCX leasers and both have a colorful history. This is the first picture on this site and maybe even on the internet of ALE 3863 and ALE 3859 (I have made many google searches, with no success, the only pic I have seen is of one of the two geeps on thedieselshop.net). It is not the best image of the duo, but sadly, the yard it was in, that I think is owned by ALE, is off limits to the public, and all the railcars from the NS yard made it harder to get a good shot of them. My goal is to someday soon get a better shot of them both! |
