PRR 1453, K-4S, 1954         
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near South Amboy, New Jersey, on 12 June 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1453, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in September of 1956 after 39 years of faithful service. In this context, it will soon arrive in South Amboy with Train #746 out of Bay Head Junction. Wilson E. Jones Collection; #4 of 6.
