Here is page four of a 22-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "A Pictorial Review Of Progress On The Pennsylvania." It was issued originally in March of 1953. Top Photo, Partial Caption: "Here is the new all-room 'Broadway Limited' crossing New Jersey on its way from New York and Philadelphia to Chicago, drawn by one of our one hundred electric passenger locomotives." Shown here is PRR engine #4902, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during May of 1940 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Bottom Photo: Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #4996 and another unit whose number is not recorded. Both are E-3B (B-B-B) electrics built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton during June of 1951 and rated at 3,000 horsepower each.
