A CN through freight slowly approaches N. Lake St. as it pulls out to head northwest via former SOO rails at Neenah, WI, on 18 Apr. '20. I am intrigued by the interesting weathering on the lower front of the lead locomotive. A nice, sunny day often brings a few railfans to this grade crossing. A young, enthusiastic railfan records the action with his cellular telephone. The youngster's hand is going up to wave to the train crew, and the conductor is sliding his window open to return the wave. Herb and Dolly Smith Park lies beyond the fence at left. |
