| Sitting in front of the Otter Tail Valley RR engine house is Minnesota Northern GP9 #1483. Built by EMD in January of 1959 as Nickel Plate Road #813, it was absorbed onto the Norfolk & Western roster as their #2813, then sold to Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern as their #1483 before finally landing on the Minnesota Northern roster. Eventually it was sold again in 2014 (12 years after this photo) to the sister railroad, Otter Tail Valley RR, as their #1323. Eric Berg photo |
