DMP-1. Here is an electric locomotive portrait by William Rogers that was taken near Halethorpe, Maryland, c. 1956. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4743 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are P-5A electrics rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4743 is a P-5A (Modified) built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in February of 1935 and retired in March of 1962 after 27 years of faithful service.
