There were 2 main tracks here. To the left of them there were 2 tracks, just before the bridge there was a spur into Rockwell International. Those 2 tracks allowed the crew to run around the Rockwell cars. Also the cars out of the B&W would be spotted there for westbounds to pick up. To the right of the eastbound there were 3 tracks with switches at both ends so that we could run around our cars on any track. We would shove our Rittman cars into 1 track and our Barberton cars into another and then use the last track to run around them so as to shove them into the yard to the rear of my position, so as to be able to switch them out. Also the eastbound B&W cars were spotted on the lead at the east end of those 3 tracks. A lot of work took place here even into the mid 79s. |
