Class 27's were always associated with Scotland but in their early years, quite a few were used on the Midland Main Line between st. Pancras and the East Midlands. This one was involved in an accident which rendered kt foe scrap at only 3 years old. Seenn on the Derby Works scrapline in late August 1965 just a couple of days after the crash. Its fate was sealed due to damaged frame and consequently becme the only member of the BRCW type to never see Scotland. |
