Description:
Here is page eight of a 15-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "Modern Cars And Locomotives: 1926." Depicted here are PRR engines #6556, #3976-3977, and #3914-3915. All were built in Juniata. Engine #6556 is a C-1 (0-8-0) switcher built in May of 1925 and retired in January of 1949. Engines #3976-3977 are DD-1's (2-B+B-2) built in July of 1910 and rated at 3,160 horsepower; #3976 was transferred to the Long Island Rail Road in April of 1928 and renumbered "350-B," but #3977 was retired in January of 1949. Engines #3914-3915 are B-1 (C) electric switchers built in June of 1926 and rated at 570 horsepower each; #3914 was retired in December of 1962, while #3915 was retired in January of 1963.

Shown here (R to L) are PRR electric engines #3915, #5689, and #4708. #3915 and #5689 are B-1's built by Juniata; #3915 was built in 1926, but #5689 was built in 1934. #4708 is a P-5A built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in 1932 and rated at 3,750 horsepower.

Shown here (R to L) are eight PRR electric engines: #4720, #4708, #5689, #3915, #4704, #4768, #3900, and #3917. #4720, #4708, #4704, #4768 are P-5A's built in 1932 and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4720, #4708, and #4704 were built by Baldwin-Westinghouse ~ but #4768 was built by General Electric. #5689, #3915, #3900, and #3917 are B-1's built by Juniata. #5689 was built in 1934 ~ but #3915, #3900, and #3917 were built in 1926.
